here are just a few of st. smellins bestest skate spots .

not included are the three council built "skateparks" or rather , cheap metal ramps bolted to rough , cheap as fuck tarmac surfaced , chav magnets. i suggest only going to these parks if you want to fight with drunken boys in tracksuits . though there are a few half decent mini ramps at these parks . however the spots listed below are arguably , better and safer to skate at. until the local council listen to the skateboarders in st. helens (not profit focused private companies) and provide somewhere , safe and desighned and built for skateboarding rather than for the financial benefits of a private company that does not care about skateboarding at all , st helens skate supplies will be actively encouraging skateboarders to skate elswhere , legally or not . this is a free country . skateboarders are only interested in skateboarding , skateboarders are not interested in being anti-social on purpose . we have a right to do what we love in our home town .  

go find em, and enjoy these spots , but please be aware that these spots where not intended for skateboarding , a little care and respect for the actual places and other people using or just passing through these spots is nothing more than common sense . idiot teenagers with skateboards not doing so will be dealt with by skateboarders .

theres always the church square, blocks , benches , steps and just all round smooth fast lovely surface. then theres the access ramp to the car park on top of b+m . very much illegal , police and security will turn up . but its got rad , tight steep banks to wall or banks to blocks , gnarly , fast as fuck and massive fun .

taylor park . big red , smooth , fast old paddling pool . wich means mellow banks or bowl type thing . fan-fucking-tastic spot .

ASDA . blocks , blocks , blocks and more blocks . some wood , some brick , some concrete . and of course tons of manny pads and a ace metal curb at the petty station ,  better wait till its shut to skate it .
